Qi came to New Zealand to study two years ago. However, because of poor attendance at his classes, his student permit was cancelled and he became an over-stayer.
We listened to Qi’s situation and to his explanation of his poor attendance, and found a way to assist him. We contacted various educational institutions, and negotiated with them for Qi to be offered a place in one of their programmes.
When finally we managed to get a polytechnic to accept him, we used our expertise and knowledge of immigration policy, to prepare a special case for him. Qi was delighted when he was eventually granted a new student permit and was able to return to his studies.
