Aiava first arrived in New Zealand from Samoa on a visitor visa. During the next two years in New Zealand , he did not renew his visa.
Accordingly, he became an over-stayer and because of his illegal status, Immigration New Zealand was trying to send him back to Samoa . When Aiava came to see us, naturally he was quiet upset and he needed urgent help.
