Karin – Student to Work Visa
 Karin is from Switzerland. After graduation, she found a job with a New Zealand Government Department. Karin visited Phoenix and engaged our services to assist her apply for a work visa. Karin had a pre-existing medical condition which the case officer confirmed fell outside of what policy considered acceptable to approve her work visa. As part of the assessment process we obtained independent medical advice from a Specialist to verify that Karin’s condition was manageable and posed no threat to New Zealand’s health system or the community.
After further assessment by the case officer, and based upon the quality of our written submissions supporting a positive decision as an exception to policy, Karin’s was issued a with a work visa as an exception to the policy and was also provided the opportunity to apply for further extensions based upon verification that her medical condition remained stable.
